Learn how to make a professional Roman blind.  You will make a fully lined sample roman blind mounted onto a corded wooden baton.  Please bring along a piece of fabric (minimum 60 cm wide by 75cm drop) or you are welcome to purchase the fabric from us on the day. Everything else is provided.  You must be able to use a sewing machine and sew straight or have attended  one of our Learn to sew workshops.  Refreshments are provided by us but you may want to bring along a sandwich.

Make a professional piped cushion.  You will learn how to cut fabric on the bias and join together to cover your piping. You will also learn how to insert a zip.  Some previous sewing experience is essential for this workshop.  Requirements:  Half a metre of your chosen fabric.  If you would like contrast piping then you will need at least  a quarter of a metre or a fat quarter of fabric.  Everything else, including the cushion pad is provided for this workshop.  We have fabric for you to purchase at the shop should you prefer, please let us know when booking.

Learn how to make professional curtains.  You will make one machine sewn sample curtain  with a pencil pleat tape heading.   You will then go on to make another sample curtain  handsewn with a   pinch pleat heading and weighted mitred corners.   We will go through how to measure your windows and discuss various fitting techniques.  These samples will act as reminders for when you go on to make your own curtains.  One metre of soft furnishing  fabric is required preferably a cotton/linen mix  (nothing too shiny or silky) everything else is provided by us.

Christmas Tilda Angel  £65

Spend the day at Annies Attic making one of these delightful Tilda Angels in time for Christmas.   Your fabric fairy will be machine sewn then stuffed.  We will  then go on to sew the clothing and decorative details along with needlfelting her hair into a hairstyle of your chosing.  Lots of different techniques are used in this workshop and it is packed full of invaluable tips to make it easy for you to go on and make more of these gorgeous Tilda dolls.  This is an intermediate workshop – you must have some machine and hand sewing experience to be able to attend.  This would make a fabulous Christmas addition to your Christmas decorations or a lovely  gift for someone special.  All materials are included in this workshop.  Please bring along a packed lunch.
